I am new to heli's and I have a V30 and notice their is some slop in the blade grips. It is like the bearings don't fit snug! Do they make something to fix this problem?

Use JRP960063 Main Blade Holders. They are for the Ergo 30 but they will fit on the Venture 30 also. The sloppy grips is a known issue with the Venture that causes the blades to go in and out of track.

Paul thanks! Do I need thrust bearings too?

If you have thrust bearings in your Venture grips then yes. If you are still using the the spacers between the radial bearings then use them or you can get the thrust bearings and replace the spacers. The choice is up to you.

So what thrust bearings would I use on the Venture 30 with the Ergo grips?

Thanks,

Mike

Thanks Paul, I ordered the Ergo grips and they are great! I don't think I am going to use thrust bearings just yet. I also have some CF blades on order hopfully I will see a big difference with them also...

The thrust bearings you want are JRP981029 Main Rotor Thrust Bearings:R. You will also need JRP970110 and JRP970111 Washers to install them. If you look at the Venture 50 manual it shows how to install them.

After looking at the Venture 50 manual it does not explain how to install the thrust bearings. If you go to Horizon's Web Site and go to support then manuals then Voyager 50 manual on page 65 shows how they go into the blade holders.

Paul,

I was just out looking at that page a few minutes ago - thanks for the follow up!

Would you happen to know what it takes to convert the 30 to a 50 would you? I picked this one up in a trade and have been pondering that if the engine is weak putting in either the OS .37 SZ-H or the .50 SZ-H and 600mm blades.

Thanks,

Mike

I had the same problem with my venture Chris my "instructor" noticed how much my blade grips flexed compared to his raptor. After checking with JR and the local hobby shop I decided to come up with my own solution. I took one of the nuts that goes on the spindel with me to lowes and found hex nuts matching the same thread pattern. I installed them after cleaning the spindle and nut with alcohol, and used loctite. I had to use a socket wrench and a nut driver but sense then my head is tite and I have had not tracking problems once the tracking was set.
