Hey Danny. When do we start seeing videos of what these machines can do?

You're telling me that no factory pilots tested the new Logos or that you personally did not get one. You've not flown one at all?

It's a little funny that all these other manufacturers spend months and months hyping up there new products with videos of team pilots and Mikado doesn't do that.

Then again, they don't need to. :smokin:

The new gear has been flown nearly one year since, and it is absolutely fine and working. What else has to be tested ? The rotorheads design still is the proven, canopy doesn't need to be test flown, cf tailcase is also nothing really new. Other than that, the frames are really rugged and the new tail drive is as simple as it can be :D

I don't expect any problems with the new ones but just plain fun

Good point, the mechanics is all ready working fine.
Hey, maybe some serious crash testing of the frame just to see how well it holds up :D

The new stuff looks good, I would LOVE something that can run 690's or 710's. Is something like that coming?

Well the stock 600 3d said it can run 650mm so a longer boom and belt would be all that is needed for 710's etc..

I all the testing we have done in the past, the Logo 14's were just not as peppy with blades approaching 690's, no matter how much power you threw at them. The new frames may mix things up a bit, but getting into the 650 size blade would satisfy my needs (and those of my budget).

I gurantee you Mikado has pilots that know how to test, and how to keep their testing a secret. That is ESSENTIAL to the successful release of a new product, as is evident with some other recently released machines. This fact can make or break a product's success, because if there is an issue, it can be fixed without detriment to the 'rumor generated' and 'publicly assumed' timeline or pricing. With the right marketing after the release, Mikado will become a new dominant force in the industry.

Latest news on delivery to the US dealers is early to mid April. Keep in mind a lot can happen in transit from overseas (customs, distribution delays, etc.), so until your dealer calls you with a tracking number don't count on anything.

If your dealer has a list, get on it now, as I am sure the initial shipments will depend on dealer input!

I heard the same thing (from Sean, at Aero-Model...) about sometime in April for the new Logos. I think the first ones out will be the 500s, but we'll see.

As for running 700-710s, I think there will definitely be a stretch kit at some point. The beefier L14 LLC head will definitely handle the blades and the new frames will accomodate full-size servos. What else is there? :)

I can't wait to try one of the new 500s. I think with 550 blades it will be a real 3D rocket, and it will make a great AP/AV platform, especially with so many high-quality lightweight 10MP cameras and tapeless HD camcorder solutions hitting the market.

The waiting is killing me, it forced me to go buy another little rex dammit! LOL I gotta build and fly something, may as well be a little crapper I guess. :badair: Ugh......how to survive another few months before these bad boys are out I have no idea! :arggg:

I guess the good news is I for one have started to collect some items in preperation for the build, servos etc...

Funny even I talk about a build like it is going to be like constructing a home when in reality it is one night or two nights tops and it's done.....

I hear 'ya Shawn,....

But, I tend to drag out the builds MUCH longer than they need to be  I purchased two kits at the same time, the Logo and a Trex 450xl. I got the Logo done, changed motors and ESC before even flying it, got it done, flew it once, and started building the Trex. I've kept wrecking, er Flyying the Logo, Now the Trex will be done by Saturday, I'll fly it Sunday when I tak the Logo out, then will be without anything to build,.....

SO

I'm going to get another Logo 10 to mount my AH-1F Cobra kit into, and a 5003d when they are released.

At least the Cobra kit will keep me busy for a while,.....I can't wait until it gets here!!

Get a Maxir kit. It's a challenge to build, but once you do get it done it truly is a dream to fly.
