On the recommendation of some friends, I purchase three Impulse Power batteries for my TREX. So far, battery performance is very good, but the balancer plug is quite different from those found on Thunderpower or Apex packs. The plug is different, and there are three black wires and on red, vs. the Three red and one black of the Apex.

Is there any way to use my Thunder Power balancer?

Thank you all in advance.

More than likely yes, however you need to know what type of connector you have, any pics would help out

Cryofix,

My apologies. I have no way to post pictures at the moment. The plug is larger that the one that is used for the Thunder Power balancer.

I will use a voltmeter to determine if the color coding is accurate (i.e. three black/negaive wires and one red/positive wire).

Thank you.

on balance taps there is only one ground wire the rest are positives, so I feel the black wires denote + and the sole red wire is the -, head to a local hobby shop and see if they have any of these taps or check out www.tech-mp.com or readyheli.com to see if yhey have a tap that will work for you.
