Hi all,

I just bought a used Fury Extreme. The uniball on the bottom of the clutch shaft is floating pretty freely. I don't remember it being loose on my expert. Is this a problem?

Thanks,

Mike...

It could be if it's loose It will let the dampner wear out faster. I'd replace the ball not hard to do just snaps off. CA the new one on, It will snap on pretty hard as well. Just did this to a guys machine a couple of weeks ago.

Not a big problem. But definetly would replace it and get a set of dampners too.
Easiest way to install them is wipe a little oil from your machine on them and they will push in very easy.

It floats up and down on the bottom part of the clutch, but doesn't come off. Should I try and CA it or just replace it?

I have another clutch stack I can replace it with, maybe I'll go that route and send this one in to get it checked out.

Thanks,
Mike...

you can try to glue in place just clean everthing up good with some alchol or thinner. Scuff up the shaft were the ball goes and put a couple scratched in the ball so the CA will hold that should work with out replacing.

BigHands!!! WhazzzUuuupp? Good advice, I glue it everytime I get a new one and have never had a problem since. I think there's supposed to be a little on there from MA but it doesn't hurt to make sure.
