I am wondering what if any experience folks are having with the Thunder Power Extreme series LIPO battery packs, which I understand to be relatively new on the market. I recently picked up two (2) 3 cell 11.1 v 2050 milliamp packs and do not seem to notice much if any run-time difference between the Extreme and "standard" 3-cell 2100 milliamp lipo packs. Is it worth close to double the cost for these batteries? What makes them so supposedly great?

Thanks much for input or comments. FM

Wouldn't expect to see longer run time. However the 25C rating means that the cells are less stressed at any given load than those in the 20C pack. This translates to cooler packs and longer lifetime. Voltage droop will be less at heavy load but unless you fly hard 3D you might not notice that difference.

Thanks Ken, that makes a lot of sense. Fred
