Helimax Axe

hey, i just yesterday purchased a Helimax Axe EZ, i havent yet had alot of time to fly it because i got it late and havent really fiddled with it. however i have noticed that when throttling up it sometimes "jolts" and will yaw to the right quickly. it does this intermidently. also i have noticed that when i do manage to get the power up enough to get it light on the skids it always comes backwards towards me even when i trim it fore as much as possible, is this normal, am i doing somthing wrong, any advise would be greatly appreciated, thank you
