View Full Version : FUTABA 7CHP HELP!
Hey all,
I am now finishing a scale project on a electric helicopter. This is a new radio. I am having a problem programming how far the servo that I am using for the retracts travels. How to I reduce the travel on the servo.I have the retract servo plugged into channel 7 on the receiver. Also is there a way to slow down the speed of the servo with a setting on this radio. Thanks in advance

No way to slow it down. But you can use the channel 7 ATV to control how far it travels each direction.

Well.....if its a true retract servo they go stop to stop 180 degrees and end points have no effect.

Sometimes even with a retract servo it is nessecary to stop it before it reaches full travel. Yes ATV can control how far the servo travels even if it is a retract servo.

Unfortunately, no retract servo that Futaba manufactures can be controlled by ATV. They are full throw both ways and ATV has no effect on them. We are not sure if this is true of other manufacturers servos.
I hope you find this information helpful. You can also reach our Futaba support team at 217-398-8970 opt 2, or via fax at 217-398-7721.

Hi,thank you all for the help.I am relatively new to helis so your advice is greatly appreciated.I am not using a retract servo because it is a small scale (T-rex).I am using a Hitec HS81 because of a lack of room for a full size servo. The ATV that you mentioned I can not find in the menu settings in my 7CHP. I was trying to adjust the travel distance with the end point setting in the radio,so can you tell me how to find the ATV setting in the radio. :arggg:
Thank you, Jeff

End Point Adjustment is the same as ATV ( Adjustable Travel Volume).
