View Full Version : How to rerplace the tail gear

I managed to lose some cogs on the small gear that mates with the large tail drive gear. It is mounted between bearings... How do you remove the shaft to replace the small gear. Must the bearings be removed and replaced too?
I will use this "opportunity" to purchase the new main gear as well.
Help!

Don't have a 450 myself, but looking at the build video's in Finless' tech room shows the tail drive gear/ shaft and bearings to be an integral assembly and will require splitting the main frames to change, have a look at the build videos, the one on the main frame shows the installation of the tail drive gear/shaft, hope this helps!!
