Align RCE-BL35X ESC for Blade 400 stock servos? [Archive]

I did a search and some said this set up (w/o BEC) will burn the stock servos due to the ESC being 6v and servos being 4.8v while some others said it would work fine. I am confused. :confused:

Please help settle this. Will the Align RCE-BL35X ESC work with stock servos?

Speed: .11 sec/60 deg @ 4.8V

I wouldnt run it @ 6 volts but thats me I put a stepdown on my 9257 and my ds 3500
specs say 4.8 your chances after that.. IMO

Align also makes the BL35G esc. It's the same esc only it supplies 5V instead of 6V.

Already got the BL35X and will run it with a step down regulator to be safe.
