AP n00b, a few questions

Hi,

I've made some AP skids to have my camera on my trex600. I've tried some AP before on my chopper just taping it ruggedly on the side. I used a small servo to depress the button on the cam.

I'm using a Hitec eclipse 7 channel tx and I want to know if there is an auxy channel i can use on my setup so i can take pics. Last time I used to take channel 7 out to the gy611 and use that. But I find I cant keep the gyro in AVCS mode, it will go to normal mode whenever i take Ch7 out... makes it a bit more interesting to keep steady while shooting!

I have Ch5 free on the reciever and I'm wondering if I can rig the gear switch to operate on this channel to take the pics? I cannot find in the tx manual how to assign channels to switches unfortunately either...

Should I consider getting a 9ch setup instead?

This may be a bit far fetched but any info will be greatly appreciated! :)

Before I got my 9Xv2, I was using my JR 2610, with the gear switch for the shutter. With only 6 channels I swapped the GY401 for the 240 so I didn't need a remote gain. So you should be able to use the default gear switch too.
