Just got my copy of XTR and it would not fly-- just go nuts and chiken dance. After fiddling w/ all of the settings with no results, I noticed that it would sit on the ground fine. When I touched the sticks it would go nuts. Watching the control inputs (f8) I noticed that the inputs were stable, until I moved the sticks- then all channels went nuts. Then I discovered that it would go nuts just by touching the radio (9Z-the case is conductive and grounded). It seemed to me to be a ground problem. I checked the radio case to the USB plug. It read 5K resistance. This can't be right. Did a little checking and the adpt. cord was mis-assembled. The Ground and Signal were reversed. It is only two wires so I switched them and now it flys great.

So if your inputs are nuts -- check the connections. The outside of the round Futaba plug should be directly connected to the square metal part of the USB--only a few ohms.

Good luck--Enjoy.

Finally figured out what was wrong with my Reflex to. One of the wires was not soldered on. Added a little solder and now it flys great. :) I am glad I was awake at 3:30 am and reading this forum. Checked mine out and low and behold...the trouble I have been having all along and I thought it was my radio setup! :DOH

I'm using an 8u with the round connector but my XTR came with the square plug so I cut the end off my trainer cord and replaced the square. I still couldn't get it to work until I used an unused model. So when they say don't use mixes, they mean it.

The graphics are great, love it!
