Hi,

Since I am nowhere near flying 3D, would putting on the heavier, 70 grams vs. 55-60 grams for the 3D, 430mm SAB FAI blades tame the Lepton a bit? I know you can calm down the cyclic by using heavier paddles or flybar weights and I was thinking that heavies main blades would do the same.

I am currently using MAH blades.

Thanks

Ray

Defintely yes. The SAB FAI blades will calm down the cyclics a whole lot more than what you are used to with the MAH's, which are considered to be very aggressive blades in contrast. Heck when I had a pair of the SAB hard 3d blades, I felt the bird was not as responsive compaired to flying with the MAH's, which are the most responsive blades out on the market so far.

Hi Ray,

I've got a pair of the SAB FAI blades and also a pair of the SAB 3D blades. I've got the FAI set installed currently and they are good for mild flying. I've only had a chance to do a couple flights due to the weather but your welcome to give them a try once it warms up a bit.

I have flown SAB blades on my Raptors in the past and they were always great! My only comment so far on the set I just received for the Lepton was they took quite a bit of work to balance. I was surprised they were so far out.

Thanks all for the info. Ordered a set from Ready Heli last night.

Thanks for the balance warning Cal. I'll check them carefully when they show up. The outage starts here at the power plant next week so I am not sure when I can get over your way. I'll be working night shift 6 days a week until April.

If it ever warms up a bit I plan to at least get out and hover. Flying the CP pro in the garage is geting old and I get bored after about 20 min. on the sim and start doing "fun" (I can do about 4 tick-tocs with a Trex 600 before I plant it :D ) stuff, so the learning kinda ends.

Spring is just around the corner!!

anyone knows how those SAB or MHA compare to the MS Composite ones ? I just had MS as of today and actually happy, but thought about maybe trying something new soon. Thanks,
