Does anyone know how to tell the difference between an S400 Buddy Box (JSP98140) and a the regular S400 Radio (JSP14000)?

Not sure what I've got here... It has a crystal plug in the back but I don't see any other model numbers on it. There is an FCC ID of BRWQUATTRO on the back.

What makes an S400 Radio a radio and a buddy box a buddy box?

I plug in my Phoenix-Sim cable and I have 4 working channels...

Thanks,
Gary

Normally a JR buddy box is a complete transmitter that is missing the crystal and they normally have a battery box for alkaline batteries. The FCC ID is still from the J-Line Quattro radio because they just renamed the Quattro as the S400 for the JR Sport line of radios.

Thanks Paul.

That's what I figured. I opened the box up to smooth out the throttle ratchet and looks like everything’s in there.
