I just purchased 2-4s TP 3850 xtreme lipo's to run in series for my 8s trex600.
When I plug them in seperately to the 210v balancer, I get it showing cells 1-4, (on both batteries one at a time). When I hook them up in series and plug into the balancer, it shows, 1-4 and 6-9, (skips 5) Then when I hook this up to the charger, and push the left button twice to get the charger to read the balancer, it shows an 8s battery.
I have my series connector put together right, and have marked group A and B correctly, using true neg. lead as group a, and that battery as group a on the balancer, and the other as group b,in their proper side by side sockets, it charges just fine as an 8s, but why the skip 5 on the balancer?
Is this an issue, or should I not worry about it? Would be nice to hear an explanation from someone that really knows why this is so.
Also, does anyone have a link to someone at TP that can handle a warranty issue, (or maybe it's not warranty as this other balancer I am having a problem with is about 6 mo. old). Anyway, I would like to contact someone about sending it in for repair, as I would like to get another charger, (another 1010..)
Thanks for any help... :?
