I use the Hacker A50-16S with 8.4:1, CC HV85, EVO 3700 and I run gov mode in Idle 1 at 2000 rpm on my Razor and it has plenty of torque. The hottest the motor has gotten is around 165 deg. I can see this baby working just fine for quite some time. :D

I run the 4350's on my Ion and the 3700's on my Razor. I get a safe 6 minutes on both, but may be able to get more time on my Razor once I get it dialed in but not sure yet. I just got the Razor flying and I like to very slowly increase my flight times. I am also breaking in new 3700 packs, so I am taking it very slow until I get about 10 cycles on each set.

Will, thanks mate... awesome news... just what I need to know.
Regards,
Chris
Good advice Will. Take it easy on the first 10-12 cycles and your lipos (and your wallet) will thank you for it. I'm sure you'll do the same thing with your TP 3850's Chris.
I wonder why they call them TP3850's in oz and 3800's in the US, yet FlightPower cells are rated the same worldwide?
I have had a very good run with my current 7x (was 8x until my last big Trex600 crash) 5s1p 3700 Evo20 (old formula) packs. Well over 150 cycles and still going strong. I just got a couple of 5s1p 3700 Evo20 new formula packs and am breaking them in as well Will. I don't intend to run these new packs with my old ones. My old packs are the same age/cycles and I mix and match them alll the time. I don't think that it's a good idea to mix and match older/newer cells. Am I right Will?

I thought the TP's were 3850's here as well??
Also, for the record, I work for FP in the promo side and customer service, I am not a dealer.
Will,
Good to know you are not a dealer!!!
The tp are listed as 3800's by Espirit at; www.espritmodel.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=4775
In oz they are listed as 3850's. No big deal anyway, maybe just stupid marketing?.
Since you are a rep, maybe you can tell us how many Razor flights have TP packs racked up, compared to FP packs in Min Air Razor testing?
My 'very' simple view is that the FP cells are a little heavier than the tp packs. If they are all pretty well matched, and come from similar factories, I'd think that the FP packs would last longer.

That is probably a mistake on the Esprit Site unless they are pro-lites and not Xtreme or something to that effect.
When the prototype Razors first came out they got a lot of cycles with the 3850, and a few withthe 4600's from TP. I also tested the 4600's Charlie gave me 2 sets to try in my Ion-X. So I would say the TP stuff got a lot of cycles. At this point, I think all the guys that started testing TP in teh Razor have all moved to FP, but I could be wrong, not 100% sure. I find the FP packs provide a lot more consistent run from start to end of the flight, but everyone has their own opinions and reasons for choosing what they fly.
The weights are very similar, I don't agree that the FP packs are heavier in general. The cells for the TP Xtreme series and our FP cells come from the same plant in Korea. Our electrolite is a little different. Maybe you are talking about the cells not made by Enerland that TP sells, (not Xtreme) they are probably a little lighter but they are also lighter on performance, and I think TP does it that way so they can sell them for less money. FP is also introducing a lower C rated line soon as was announced at Nurnberg but it is made by Enerland like all the rest of our stuff.
All FP cells are manufactured in that plant in Korea. The rest of the TP cells are manufactured by the company who made FP cells about 1.5 years ago and we have moved on.
The secret to the FP packs is how the cells are quarantined and the selection process that the individual cells go through to make up any given pack. Our techniques are more mature than TP or anyone else in the world that is the FP secret and why our packs perform and last like they do.
Clint is still flying pairs of packs with over 300 cycles on them in his Razor. They are starting to show their age performance wise but they still fly good. The first vids of Clint's X2 Ion are using packs with over 300 cycles on them, still working pretty good.
I have tried many TP packs and I chose to fly the FP EVO packs because I thought they were a lot better performing packs, and I preferred the customer service and approachability of FP over TP. This was WAY before I worked for FP.
Hopefully I have answered what you were looking for. I tried to do the best I can and keep it 100% honest.
A very good, informative, and honest answer Will. Thanks mate.

Tom C

The 3800/22C are slim cell designed to fit the razor battery compartment.
The 3850/25C are about the same size as 3700s

Glen, Get the Tango 45-08. The Neu 1515 2y is an extremely powerful setup, more suited to hard 3D. You will only have max 5 minutes flight time. An excellent alternative is the Actro 24-4, it sits between these two motors.
Chris the Tango 45-10 will not handle 10S.The tangos are rated 30000rpm max - on 10S thats 35000rpm - too much.

Jayway, thanks mate, the Tango 45-08 should be here Tuesday I hope (came from Esprit Model)
Hopefully, by about Wednesday, everything should be here with the exception of Batteries and my new charger setup. Charger setup should be here Monday the following week.
And of course the canopy... hopefully they will arrive soonish.
