How tight do you make the main blades and tail blades in the grips?
Looked for a thread but could not find one..Setting up my first heli
How do you test if they are tight enough...Any videos showing how a proper tensioned blade looks?

Thanks

For the tail baldes you want them to be pinched until they do not fall under their own weight, but still able to move with gentle finger pressure. If you ever collide with anything, you want the blade to give and reduce the chances of damaging anything.

With the main blades, the same principal applies to a certain extent. If they are either too loose or too tight you may get vibration/shake issues. I like to tighten mine until they are snug in the grips, but if i hold the heli on it's side with the blades horizontal, they should stay horizontal unless i give a gentle pull on the heli (i.e holding the heli with both hands, drop your hands an inch and pull back up again quickly) the blade tips should fall towards the floor.

Hope i explained this ok?

On my T-rex450SE, the wood main blades are a press fit just to get them in, let alone being loose in anyway? Is this normal?

Unfortunately, yes that is normal. :(

Most, but not all, sand the plastic part on the root until it fits easily into the grip.

Or just insert them, put int eh bolts and swing them back and forth a few times. They loosen up nicely, maybe not as loose as above test, but loose enough to lead/lag on their own.
