I am sitting here looking at my two Logo 14s, contemplating what the kits to modify them to 6003D status will be......
After thinking closely on it all that will be of use is my Head, auto hub "maybe", thristed tr components, and of course me E Gear and servos if I should chose to run the mid size but not likely if the frames support full size. That is not alot I can use to convert really.
So then I am thinking are there any ideas or numbers on what the upgrade or conversion kits are going to cost for the Logo 10 and Logo 14s we currently have?
I know some peeps that would give me a good dollar for one of my 14s, but I'd like to know what the conversion/ipgrade cost would be before doing this.....

Shawn,
I have gotten the official word from Mikado and unfortunately it does not look like there will be upgrade kits available from the exsisting line to the new kits. The mainframe and gear train are different. Therefore, the canopies, gears, mainframes etc. won't fit.
However, the existing head, tail and landing gear will remain the same. This is good because you can use the exsisting parts for spares and the new part count will be nominal.

Thats not the best news but you would think it would be profitable for Mikado to make upgrade kits. I would buy an upgrade kit that consisted of the frame, gears and boom, actually you'll need the boom adapter for your current boom, instead I'll have to buy the parts separately. I do like the fact that the Logo10 has not been discontinued and the majority of parts on my Logo will fit the 500

The way i see why not just by a new Kit and use the old ones for spares as Kyna mentioned or you could just use the new frame wiht the old tial box and head and keep the new parts as spares

Right now, I'm not sure if I will upgrade or buy a new kit. I'm sure the cost of buying upgrade parts separately will be at least half the price of a new kit so it may make since to buy the kit.
I would like to try the new models out but I'm not keen on upgrading my 10 because it's performing so damn good. I'll probably wait until it goes in before upgrading. With a new kit on the shelf, it should be fairly quick and easy.

Honestly I feel even though the head and tail in general are the same the new models will perform better imho, and noticeably to. Full size servos will provide the tourque throughout any maneveur with preceision and no fall off. The tail boom on the 6003D for example being longer and larger will do a few things. Imho the length will increase the tail hold ability as it will act like a lever, one thing about the 14 even stretched is the tail is light, and adding abit of weight seemed to help it out as did adding larger DIY cf boom supports. Having it larger will now avoid the belt slap annoyance and the new front pulley being much larger will keep the inertia in play much better on autos, this of course is real simliar to the Raptors, which we all know auto quite well to be honest. I really like the new designs for sure. Right off the bat I will be getting a 6003D, not sure on the 5003D but most likely down the road.
