Is anyone using base loaded antenna on the G-3 receivers and what kind please?. How long is the receiver wire until you cut it to add a Dean's or Revolution?

Why would need to? It's almost the same length as the old rx with the deans ant.

Morning All
I agree with Fox222. No need to cut Rx antenna. Use as is w/o base loaded antenna.

I would agree with cutting the antenna to 4-6 inches if your going to use a base loaded whip antenna. If you don't shorten the antenna and install the base loaded. You basically installed more antenna than was required. Got to remember when the G3 72 mhz receivers first came on the market the antenna wire was 1 meter long. Now the antenna wire is about 21 inches long. So in my opinion you add the whip antenna to the 21 inch wire, you have basically made the antenna 1 meter long or more again.

I agree with that David....If your going to go with a base load you need to cut it BUT I am also with Fox.... The antenna is so short already I dont see a need for a base load.
