If so, what did you do?

Also, did you lubricate the main shaft one way bearings?

If you didn't do anything to the ball joints can you respond as well? I guess this should be a poll.

I did lubricate the one way with tri-flo

I did not do the ball links, I let them seat in themselves and keep an eye on them. I have seen at least 3 people ream links then pop one on subsequent flights.

If you want to loosen them up some. Take some pliers and gently squeeze the link while it is on the ball. What this does is crush the flashing that is left inside the link from the molding process. The link then should move more freely and still retain its fit.

I ream all my links and have never popped one. I have, however, ruined a few...

You -MUST- make sure you are dead center of the link and don't overdue it. I also was taught by the pilot that taught me to pull on the links before every flight. I "try" and remember to do it.

I also ream ball links, but only a little at a time while cheking the resistane on each individual ball seperately. I usually only do this untill you can twist the link fairly easily by my fingers when the link is installed.
