I saw the Knight 50 Pro at the Vegas Fun fly. It looks like a comparable heli to the Hurrican 50. However, I am completely unfamiliar with the head design.

I am also looking at the Hurrican 50, and from what I can see, the head design looks very similar to the "typical" ccpm head of the Align Trex. In other words, it is a proven design.

Is the Knight 50 design similar to any other Helicopter head design??? Does it have any inherent advantages or disadvantages to other head designs?

Thanks,
Doug

Rockohaulic,
I don't know about the Knight 50's head design, but I can tell you this, The Hurrican is as a whole the best feeling heli in it's class, All of it's designs from the Push/ pull controls to it's G-10/ CF frames are top quality and delivers over the top characteristics one would expect from a machine of this caliber.
RjX has taken a Proven design and Made it better. RjX of USA is still @ this time able to sell this quality Hurrican 50 machine for less than the Airskipper sells for.
The Hurrican has quality Upgrade parts available for it right here in the good old USA. Take a close look at the Hurrican 50 I think you'll find it to be all I say it is. You will love this heli as everyone who has already bought and flown one does. :D
Thanks for your interest in the Hurrican 50. :)

Out of the box the "A" version head the very same setup found on the AS50 is rock solid, the head that comes in the carbon kit has a metal swash, hub/yoke as well as the blade grips, there are also upgrade parts available to replace the washout base, washout arms, seesaw, seesaw arms and flybar control arm, the plastic is every bit as tight and solid as the metal upgrade parts. I can say this about the RjX metal head parts, I installed everything but the stock hub/yoke on my Tiger 50 head and it instantly tightened everything up and the heli flys like a new machine.

I can't comment on the head of the Knight 50 because I've never built one or flown it but I've seen Rodney and Vance put it through it's paces and it looks like a nice machine.

All I can say is try to get to a FF or field were the Hurrican and Knight are flying and see if you can get a turn of them, I know in the near future the RjX Team will have some test machines at the events we attend.

All I can say about the Hurrican is everyone that has seen it up close, flown ours, or even watched Steven fly it has been impressed with the machine. What I saw when I first looked at the machine was the G-10 or optional CF frames in a stacked setup, having a T-Rex SE I knew it was a solid design, also the metal head parts, and it wasn't too long after I became involved with RjX that the manufacturer came out with a full metal tail case of the same hi quality as the rest of there products, I put price aside for a minute and looked at the machine simply on quality and value for my money and I've not been dissapointed with my decission.
