I ordered a Black Hawk Pro 3d (the one that was listed in the Hummingbird 3d thread) http://www.xheli.com/6blha3dproar.html and I'm trying to determine make/model components that will work best. I'm looking for something like "the best servo is X, the 2nd best is Y"...etc

I'll be using my DX7. Will HS65MG's fit in this bird? What gyro is suggested? I see a futaba gy240 for sale is that overkill?...etc.

I'll probably go medium quality but want to know more specifics.

Thanks in advance.

65s will not fit. And if they did it would be extremely tight. HS- 56 might fit though. When you buy servos for this heli, you have to take into consideration that you have to cut off the tabs to mount them in the heli rendering them useless in any other application unless you purchase new servo cases. I would get either hitec hs-55s and one hs-50 for the tail servo or the futaba 3114's. They are both cheap servos and very capable of handling the job for this heli. The 240 gyro is not over kill at all. That gyro would work just fine.

For motor i would get a 3800kv to 4100kv motor with pinions to accommodate your choice of motor and desired head speed. I got a Esky esk5-006 3800kv motor for mine with a 25 amp ESC.

On my 3dpro i have 4 tower pro 90 servos BTW.
