My Stinger 30 arrived today, hey folks this is a nice little heli. Looks like a winner. Can't wait to get it ready to fly !
Anyone interested in a beginner heli, this should be at the top of your list, and I am not saying that because I am a field rep. IT looks good !!!

What motor are you putting in your 30 Rob?

I am going to run the OS32.... would like to have the 37, but will let few more "bugs" work out of it before I buy one.
Also, I may turn this into a 50 next month, so it will benefit mey pocketbook to use the engine I have !

What "bugs"?

Ray's OS 37 is a real power house.

Hey Ray,
I didn't mean to imply it had bugs, just that "most" new items seem to have some initial problems that are worked out within the first 6mo's to a year of the item hitting the market. I was just refering to waiting until any problems are found and worked out.
My other reason for not buying one is that if I turn my Stinger into a 50, I would have to turn around and buy a OS50 in a month or so.
Again guys, I know that Ray has had great success and is happy with the 37. Sorry for the missunderstanding.

No misunderstanding Rob. Sorry. I was going fishing. :) I completely understand what you mean. I bought one of the first VW Jetta III's....
On another note...
How much is different about the 50 than the 30? Can you just get 50 tail parts and bolt in a 50 to make the Stinger 30 into a 50?

Hey Will,
David hasn't released the 50 upgrade yet, but I figure it will be simular to the Rappy upgrade.
This is just guessing, but I figure, new tail boom, belt, gearing, not sure what else.
And of course blades.
Hope you have a good weekend, our flyin looks to be WET. It is raining like cats and dogs, but getting ready to head out to the club to sit and drink coffee. heehhee

It is a very solid looking heli. Can't wait to get it flying. It looks like we will get a lot of talking and visiting done today, it is raining now.... :( , BUT.... the way the weather is here, it will probably be sunshinning in a couple of hours !!! Always best to pack up and go, cause you never know! hehehee (poet and don't know it)
Wish all you folks could be here. Not sure I can make Mac's yet, we will see.

Also Will, I haven't decided what I am going to do with the canopy yet, so it's still just untouched. Think I will paint it, since it is a nice fiberglass product. Anyway, the test flight comes first!!!

Hey Rob,
Pitch range looks tight; how much can you get stock? I have a QuickUK swash on mine since the stock one looked so thick. :WOW

Wow! Looks really good. The paint job is great!
Hey David, welcome back from the Far East..... hope you had a successfull trip. On the paint job, It is amazing what you can "cover up" with decals.
I did the paint with the little Pactra spray cans. I did the clear coat with a can of Dupli-Color Clear. Don't know how well it will hold up, but looks good after the first flights.
The little "beast" feels really solid. I am impressed at the stablity of the bird and how nice it feels. We had a pretty heavy and gusty wind today and it handled it well. I can't wait to put a bunch of flights on this Stinger to see how it performs. As of my first impressions.... it is very good !!!!
