Stand offs to use or not to use?

I have read a little on this(Very Little) I do not understand Why they are not using the Standoff I have a Striaght shot from servo Ball link to standoff. If i were to just use the ball i would then have to put the ball on the Inside of the servo arm. Is there a reason you want to get the balls and Links as close to the swash as possible?

The only reason I know of not to use them is to keep the geometry equal on all three inputs, and reduce set up problems with interaction.
I got rid of the standoffs when I installed the CCPM mod so I can not say for sure if there is a big difference with vs without.

hmmm yeah ok. The way mine are it`s pretty much a Striaght shot WITH the Standoff`s. I think i will keep mine the way they are for now..AT least until Someone can tell me why it would be better to have them the other way.
