Okay, I caved in and bought a new 12Z. It's taken a few days for me to figure it out and I have learned that even if you RTFM there are a few things that can trip you up. Every time that happens, I shut things down and go RTFM some more.

Does anyone use anything other than the "Line" mode to create their P&T curves? I don't really feel like being too creative, but they give you a jillion options and if there is a better way.... :?:

I like the look and feel of this new box. I switched because I have been using Futaba servos and gyros with my JR radios for a few years and I just got tired of trimming the servo plugs. My first "real" heli radio was an original J-Series 5H back in 1982 and when I learned I could get a 50 mHz synthesized setup, I was hooked.

I now use the spline mode for my P&T curves - gives a smoother curve

I use the Spline mode for pitch and throttle curves. Spline mode smooths the curve out between two points. Line mode just makes it a straight line between two points. I know that sounds like they both are the same. But make several different points and you should be able to see the difference between Spline and Line.

Thanks, guys.

After I saw Mark's reply, I went back and Read The #$%@ Manual some more. (Thank goodness for PDF copies.) I agree that Spline is a better choice and will go back and do it all over again.

I have been trying to transfer data from my PCM 10X and I have to translate "JR" (0 - 100) into "Futaba" (+100/-100). With luck, I should have my test heli converted in a few more days. :WOW
