View Full Version : CP Pro - Lost full rudder

I seem to have lost adequate power (either from the battery or the motor itself) to have sufficient Right rudder. Starting at lift-off, I have to hold right rudder at about 50% to remain in a fixed position. This is at just a few inches off the ground. If I go for more elevation (more collective), the rudder will not hold, even with full right stick, and the heli starts to rotate left.
Have three batteries all with similar usage with similar behaviour.
It seems to me either all three batteries are shot, or the motor is.
Any suggestions for further troubleshooting?

Sounds like the tail motor- I had the same problem with mine, it would turn nose left pretty quick and then I would give it right rudder to bring it back. I noticed that it would be slower when going nose right and it seemed to be getting worse rather quickly over time. Well, I changed the tail motor and the problem went away- It runs just as good as the day I bought it.

I was having the same problem. Tweaking the trim screw thing on the 3 in 1 fixed it right up.

It was the tail motor.
New one has me back in control, or at least as controlled as a CPP in a rookies' hands will be.
Thanks for the help.

Truthfully? I was wondering about mine actually. It seems to be unusually sluggish in responding to throttle changes. I have had my CPP since 2 maybe 3 weeks after Christmas could it be time or is it my paranoia that there has to be something wrong with it and it is not just my suckage.

If you've had the same tail motor for two months count yourself very lucky. Depending on number and success rate of flights of course
