View Full Version : MCPX tail blade on trex100 its awesome!! DRIFT ISSUE SOLVED! i hope!! it did for me
Use the mcpx tail blade on the trex100, only than you may need a coulpe of clicks of trim at best, and is about 100 times better!!
motor shaft is the same thickness!

It didn't work for me. I was able to bend the original tailblades to fine tune the tail. I don't have much drift anymore. But you gotta play with it a little.

i tried msr tailblades, its certainly a lot better but, from what i can tell, as the battery power diminishes the tail just does not have the power to hold.
So who owns both? Which is better? I have the mCP x but am interested in the 100. Are there plans for a bind and fly version?

Hi,
I onw mSR and 100 ... I do not have mCp x. Anyway, I think that maybe the best comparison should be betwwen the 2 fixed-pitch helys, that are mSr and T-rex 100 : well, I personally do not see this big difference between one and the other ... surely the mSr has Spectrum bnf possibility (great advantage) ... on the other hand the T-Rex 100 has it's own simple tx ... smaller than a std tx and so much easier to transport ... On the other hand is a "stand alone system" since Align still did not develop a bnf version, and maybe won't never do (we still don't know). Also, I can transport the T-Rex 100 + tx in it's own original box safely... the Align has maybe better 5in1 with closed micro servos integrated .. at the same time tail control is not probably as good as mSr ... even if in mSr the tail is not perfect at all, sometimes it has oscillations, including main rotor system...
So, to me it's not so easy to tell which one is surely better than the other one... it's something very personal .. and do not forget that we're speaking of 35gr fixed-pitch helys ... not of 250, 450 cp class helys, that are complete different things, and put themselves at completely different level of technology, flying characteristics, controllability and much much more...

I was under the impression that the trex 100 is a fixed pitch. I know the msr is fixed pitch.

yes, trex 100 e mSr are fixed pitch indeed. My mystake writing in my previous email, but I meant fixed pitch ;-)

My tail is much better with msr blade. Thanks for the tip!

Just to clear, the mSR and mCP X tailblade is exactly the same :)

i do see the servos on the t100 look much better than the linear one on msr and mcp for that matter. since you have both can you say that the t100 has a cyclic faster response that msr? Just asking bcause that is one con of the msr in my opinion(servos feeling weak) but then again its only 30 gr at most and the fact that both have a dedicatd tail motor will mean that niether one will have a solid tail.
