Have a crashed 601 amp. My flying buddy has a crashed 502,amp.is good. Havn't seen the 502 amp. Is it(502/601amp.) the same?

The 601 and 502 amplifier appear the same in appearance. The 601 amp has software to drive the 9251 servo exclusively. I understand the 502 amp can drive the 9251 servo with some changes to the software program. I have not tried it personally. But I understand there is place in the software to change the resolution the servo is being driven.
A stock 502 amp will not drive a 9251 servo. So the 502 should not be used in that respect.
