i've used this astro109 for over 2 years and it's never had a problem charging 2s, 3s and 4s packs. but, i'm trying to charge my 6s2p packs for the first time and i'm getting into the charge about 10 minutes and i get a "source < 10v error"
i'm not sure what this means, as right up until the error the pack is reading 22.4 volts.
any ideas?

I think your problem is ur input +12 supply is not providing enough current to keep the input voltage above the input cutoff of the 109,,i.e. if i us a +12V 2 amp supply I can only charge to about 1.25A to keep from getting that low input alarm, so slow down the charge rate or get a beefer supply.

thanks. by trial and error that's what i figured out, as well. i got the pack to charge at about 1.2amps.
asking around, someone informed me that when the pack requires more current than the input voltage, a DC-DC conversion in the charger is made (which makes sense in hindsight)...and this can increase the amperage draw a LOT. so, even though i was only pumping in 4 amps on the dial, the DC-DC conversion probably was pushing it well past 10amps (obviously, since this is a 10amp supply). i guess i have a new item for my shopping list, if i want to charge these packs in any reasonable amount of time.
