Funny in a sad way. I reently crashed my three week old CPP. I broke the frame where the tail boom slides in. Well since I have enough parts to build CPP I started the proces of tranfering everything from the old frame to the new. Everything went smooth as pie. Took less than an hour for everything. I chatted with my brother in Michigan while I was doing it and had everything perfect. It was like a new bird. All system check, maiden flight on the new frame and away we go. One second later, broken blade grip and destroyed the tail boom in two places, slightly dented plasti blade.

Morale of the story, always make sure you plug the tail rotor motor connector in the right way. LOL. Somehow while BS'ing with my bro I plugged it in upside down. Made for a very short flight!!

Lesson learned. Haste makes waste.

Back in the air......had to get a new frame and tail boom again but got it all installed in 30 minutes. A few more crashes and I'll be an expert at repairing a CPP lol.

Do you have flybar weights installed? if not you can just use wheel collars of the correct diameter to fight your flybar. Flybar weights will help you tame the bird down a bit and make it easier to fly. Also note when you are close to the ground you are in the rotor wash which makes the heli less stable (true with all heli).

Ya, I can hover all day. FF.BF no problem. Its when the tail is pointing away from me that I crash :D
