First problem Very low run time with the stock motor. Some tail wag that would NOT go away with all adjustments to the gyro. Ran it up while holding the heli. A very fast vibration that would resonate at a certain rpm at get less at a higher rpm. I pulled the tail boom an saw the tail drive shaft had a good warp in it. I thought this was my wAG problem. I got a staight shaft and tail shaft bearings etc. Ran her up and although smoother I STILL had a tail wag that was still immune to any adjustments.
I then tried another GYRO and had the SAME problem. I thought it was slop in the tail rotor ,,,it is NOT very presise as it has play of it's own,,and then I also addressed any slop in the linkage going to the tail. I still had the same problem of wag.
I then moved the linkage on the tail servo IN one hole. The Shogun manual say's about 10 mm from the sevo screw to the pushrod. I went to 7 to 8 mm,,,the next inner hole on my Hiteck 50 sevo., and all problems are GONE.
I will say that when calling Global Hobby they just sent whatever I needed free TWICE to remedy my problem. I am now waiting for my Justgofly brushless motor with a 8T pinion and can't wait. I finnaly got the stock motor setup working great now and can only imagine what a brushless motor will do.
This heli rocks big time
