helifreak is a wonderful place, but the cp/cx forum is very lacking... i mean, helifreak has a very active t450/600 forum, but this cp/cx one just doesn't go. if you every look at rcu, they'd have like 10 new posts everyday. and even the otheRR site has a more active cp/cx forum. any cause to this?

I dont have a clue but if you would post a question about your particular machine you would probably get alot of results. Alot of the people that are flying the cp/cx are just getting into the heli hobby and probably dont know of the freak or spend most of there time on sites that they knew of when flying planks.

Chopper the main reason I stay with HF is the quality of the people here. Maybe other sites have more newbs with the CP/CPP/CX :dontknow .
What I do know is that there are alot of folks on OTHER forums that don't know what they are talking about. I'd rather stay here where folks are friendly, admit when they don't know, and do their best to help anyway.
Put in the effort to make HF the kind of place you want it to be or be part of the problem. You get out what you put in. We're all in this together but nobody is going to make you like it or even participate.

If I had to guess it would be because most folks here likely own other heli's other than the CP/CPP/CX and post to other forums. That's just a huge guess tho. Most posts in the different heli sections seem to mostly be from folks having issues and asking questions.

Many of us have had, tried, and modified to fly, the BCP's etc.
After countless hours and dollars to make it do less than half of what we wanted, we moved on.
Some people dont like to hear the truth, and get all emotional about that statement, but if you ask, you'd find that 75% of us have had one, worked on on, or threw one away, frustrated.

thx Wayne, i think i got lucky then, i got it to behave very good, and have taught me from hover to inverted hovering without a sim. it taught me alot, about setting up and flying adn orientation, i wonder if moving up to a 450 would really make me a much happier kid, it sure won't on my wallet :arggg: (but mark my words... i will get one nethertheless, even when i'm still delivering teh newspapers...)

i guess there is just not that much to the CP pro / cx. they are fairly basic. i do have a cppro and love it. i am still just hovering but it seems pretty smooth to me. also been flying (hovering) a trex SA for the last 3 days. of course it is even more smooth and stable. as someone above said, maybe it is becasue the cp and cx are mainly geared toward beginners. i do visit several forums daily (several times a day). they all have their good points but this is my favorite.

I think there are a lot of people here, like me, who have no idea what they are doing and prefer to read and learn before they post.
If I see something that I can help with then I will post, but as it is right now I haven't seen a single post I could help with. Except this one :D

I have a CX, but now that I have a TRex, I have to learn that bird and the CX was put on the back shelf... until I need a stress break
I searched the CP/CX forum and pretty much every question I asked (that I could not find in a search) was answered. With that said I didn't have too many questions that weren't already answered...
I agree.. this site has some very experienced and knowlegable people who are very friendly. Why go anywhere else...
Thanks Guys.. and Girls!!!

Just my opinion............I've been learning the basics with the blade cp & cp pro without any desire to spend money on upgrades etc. I think they are great copters to learn on, but not to invest a ton of money into. Without the help of the people on Helifreak, I would have guit the hobby soon after starting. Every time I,ve had any questions, I've gotten plenty of good help. They are a great bunch of people on this board who are eager to help with plenty of good advise. The members that I've been able to meet at events have always been friendly and helpful. I don't even have any desire to join any other boards. Thanks for all the past help everyone! Planing on the TRex 600 next.

I have a BCPP, BCX2, and the Helimax EZ fly. but there is not much to talk about. I fly the CX2 in the house for fun. My BCPP is very modded and everything I needed to know was found here at the freak through searching or posting questions. THis section does move slow, but if you ask a valid question, someone will answer rather quickly. but everything took a seat on the backburner since I got the trex600.
I also have a bunch of picooz's and a corona. but nothing compares to my big trex.
