Great Service Again

Called Duralite yesterday to tell them about my Brain Fart. I accidently cut the charge lead off my new 4000 pack. I figured no big deal and soldered the lead wires back together, but when I tried to check my voltage the lead was dead.

Well I guess when I cut it, it shorted out the charge protection circuit. They are sending me an e-mail will all the info to send it to Florida and she said it would probably cost $10, she also thanked me for fessing up, I told her if you are gonna be dumb be tough :shock:

Anyway thanks for the Great service and cant wait to get my pack back !

How did you accidentally cut the lead off? Did it get caught in the fan or something else?

Yeah I would think when the leads are shorted together that would mess up the Safe Charge circuit. But at least the circuit is there and doing what it is suppose to do. Probably would been a hellva of a fireball had the Safe Charge circuit not been in place.

Quick trip for the pack to Florida and back and it will be good as new.<G>

I was cutting wire ties and wasnt paying attention. Oh well. Yup short trip from Savannah GA and I'm sure the turn around will be just as quick !!
