Hi,
there are rumors that new Jive ESC was introduced at the Toy Fair Nurberg in Germany, does anyone know any specs?

I think 160 and 200A versions with USB and micro sd card, data logging etc, no pics yet.... Mid 2011.

Looks like my 120HV will be worthless LOL

I want to try HV servos, so i want it to have HV BEC.
Else i will need to use 2S LiPo, which i do not like for few reasons.
Jive 120 will handle 200+ Amps as we know :) so i think i do not need more.
Logging and telemetry solved by JLog.
For complete package, i need the new Jeti DS-16.

Yes the current jive can do over 200A cont, but mine still did soft shutdown when it was really hot with 4525LE motor and testing pitch pumps etc and flying really hard.

I just saw a pic of the jive, looks massive and ugly, too heavy

Moreover, even a helicopter Jive 120 + HV was presented ...

The helicopter Jive 120 + HV is specifically tailored to the needs of helicopter pilots. He has in addition to the usual helicopter mode, a new combined mode. Here, the controller starts with a soft start controllers and switches from a programmable speed threshold to enter the speed control mode. Which in low speeds German works better. The price is € 479.90 and will be available from approximately April 2011.

I suspect it is a special mode for use with the V-bar gov.

Might be, unfortunately they say miniV will not support governor.
And i do not want fullsize one on my TDR.
So i hope the new Heli Jive 120 will have HV BEC.

No, has nothing to do with Uli's "V-Bar" (Mikado). It switches, depending on "throttle", between non-governor and governor. It is said that it would make the speed even more stable, better avoid some possibly the tail affecting impacts. That's why "Heli JIVE". Another upgrade is an autorotation supporting modification, I believe. Faster and especially proof in-air run up.
