I went to model avionics website and followed the "super simple" procedure for setting up revmax on DX 7. They say in system menu to have aux-inh and then go to pmix1 and set aux2->aux2 and sw to fs12. I did all this and the rev max lights worked in idle 1 and 2 which was prefect, just what I wanted. But here is the problem. With this setup I could not initiate the calibration, I finally went back to system menu and set aux-> aux and this let me calibrate by flipping the aux switch a couple times after turning on. SO I went ahead and calibrated but noticed with system menu set this way, the revmax worked in normal mode as well. So I went back to system menu after calibration and set aux-> inh as previously mentioned. Now it works in just idle 1 and 2. My question is it still calibrated now that I went back to aux and put it on inh or did this uncalibrate it?
Sorry for long question but hopefully someone can help

According to the instructions for Revmax
During calibration, the Jockey measures the limits of the auxiliary and throttle channels. Once calibrated, the Jockey stores the measurements in non-volatile memory.
conditions where the instructions state you should recalibrate
Note: When using the Throttle Jockey for the first time or making changes to the throttle servo throw, always perform the calibration operation
and
and Calibration only needs to be performed when first installing the Jockey, changing throttle servo throws or after transferring the Jockey to a new machine
I don't know first hand but that's what the instructions say.

Dude,
You're making this way too complicated. Once you calibrate the RM you can do anything you want with a Pmix or whatever. Like you found out the only way to calibrate the RM is to have the AUX channel set to +100 and -100.
After you set the RM up, just flat line the throttle curve to 100% and then set the RM to the headspeed you want and go fly. I usually set one of the AUX endpoints to 0 and the other one to 75% to start. Have someone skytach the head and adjust the aux endpoint to the desired headspeed.

Thanks , appreciate the help. Sounds like you are using the endpoints on ATV to set headspeed and I am using a pmix but in the end we get the same result. I rather have it on the idle up switch (off=normal, idle1 and idle 2 set the head speeds) but havent figured out how to do that one yet.

You do get the same result but at least with the end points you have a value that you can correlate that will equal a certain HS. With the PMix you will have to measure the pulse train coming out of the RX port to be sure.
