Hello guys,

I'm in the process of re-building my Ion-X head and noticed the "silicone tubing" (P/N 0316) mentioned in the instruction manual. The heli brought it installed since I bought it second hand. I don't have any spares with me to replace it right now... So I was wondering if the difference in flight performance is noticeable by you guys with more experience with this heli. Is it worth ordering and waiting for??

Thanks!

Chachin..

I don't think you'll notice any difference , I'm flying mine without it.

if you are flying with the harder dampners, you do not need to install it. Back in the day of loose flapping and such, it helped prevent the shaft bumping the inside of the head.

The tubing provides a point for the blade axle to pivot in the head. That is why it was originally installed. As mentioned if your using the hard dampeners you may or may not notice a difference. From my experience it does help the Oring type dampeners have a longer life.
IF you don't have the tubing. You can wrap 3-5 layers of electrical tape around the axle at the center of it. I have done this at times.
