I've been setting my heli up by adding the servos. I'm using a dx-7 with the receiver battery plugged in. ESC is not connected. As soon as I plug it in, the servo(s) begin to make a twitching sound. They don't appear to be moving at all, just making a low jittery noise. Radio is brand new as are the servos. Servos are jr ds285.

sounds like the battery needs charging or the servo's are under load. Just a guess based on your post.

one thing I forgot to mention was the the twitching settles somewhat if I move the transmitter away from the receiver, but does not completely stop. When I move it in again, it picks back up. We're talking about two feet here. This is the first charge on the receiver and transmitter batteries. I left them plugged in overnight. I'll give the recevier batteriers another charge.

I wonder if RF is getting into the servo's? or the BEC.. that's what it sounds like.

well they are digi servos, so they will "hum" and as you don't see any movement, I'd not worry. This is why a lot of people shy away from digi servos on cyclic, they do consume a little more juice due to the nature of the things.

I noticed the twitching while setting a friend's heli with DX7, switched to a charged battery and its all gone.. so it's most likely a discharged battery..
