Here are a few shots of my X-400, basically converted to a MX-450.

Upgrades are as follows:
CF CCPM upgrade
Align 325 CF blades
Full metal Head
Full metal tail
CF Flybar Paddles
CF extended boom
CF battery Tray
Align Skids
CF Tail Fins
430L +35A ESC, 13T pinion
401/9650
HS65HB on cyclic
AR6100 +DX7

This bird flys mean. I have a Hawk Pro,and I'm starting to like this bird a lot more. I've really taken my time and modified the head and tail so that there is zero slop in any of the linkages. The result is night and day. I've become more anal about this and I have to make sure every wire is tucked away clean, ect ect. Anyhow, just figured I'd share a few pics.

Looks great. But that gyro looks awfully close to the motor for my comfort.

I was originally worried about it but I've never had any issues so far. Its been about 4 months and its glitch free

Nice looking bird!
How do you like the Spektrum system?

I love the DX7. I had a JR system before this one and put all the servos and the AR7000 in the Hawk Pro. I got the AR6100 for the MX and I actually got two for $50 since the company I bought them from sent two by mistake. Anyhow, the CCPM mixing is real fast and even on the hawk, the responce time is much faster than expected. I can't say anything bad about it. No glitches, no lock-outs, the standard JR programming, what more can you ask for?

Glad to hear you like it as I have the DX7 on (back) order, going to use it in my heli and as instructor controller patched up with a JR 6102 to teach my son to fly the spare heli.

Move your gyro dude
I had my receiver there and did an inverted hover but landed on the head(my fault dumb thumbs) and the mainshaft went straight through the main gear and then the shaft smashed the receiver, good job it was only a £25 receiver and not a £100 Gyro.........See what I mean
Since then I have put nothing under the main shaft
