Messing around on the sim last night and discovered something "odd" with the Sod Farm...
I was flying the Composite ARF 3.3m Yak in slow knife edge down the runway. I wanted to see if I could touch the wingtip to the ground without crashing.. I managed to do it on the runway itself a couple times and then once, I drifted off the runway into the grass on the "far" side of the runway. The wingtip dipped below the grass level and kept going until only one wing was visible above the ground. I was able to add power and more rudder and fly away..
I got curious and tried both canopy "in" and canopy "away" from me.. Only canopy "in" exhibited this behavior... I couldn't duplicate it with another other airplane or helicopter.
So, this brings me to my question.. How is collision detection implemented on a model? On a flying field? I haven't tried it on another field yet, but will tonight when I get home..
Not a huge deal, I was just curious.
