hi there, i'm using a deans base loaded antenna with my R700 on a trex 450. the Rx and antenna came off of a used heli and it has at least 12" of wire going to the base ant. right now my cyclic servos twitch very slightly all the time when the motor is running. i'm pretty sure its from the way i have the antenna wiring bunched up. so will it hurt anything if i cut the wire down to a couple of inches? i was also wondering if it would be better to move the antenna out between the boom supports?

With the wire bundled up like that. You have reduced the recieving ability of the antenna.
The antenna wire from the receiver should be between 4-6 inches before adding the connector for the Deans antenna. Then will be about 4-6 inches from the base of the Deans to the connector. Do not coil it up like in the picture above.

so you should have around 8 to 12 inches of wire in total?

Yes you will have 8 to 12 inches wire in total from the rx to the Deans antenna.
You should have 4-6 inches of the original reciever antenna. Then a connector for the deans. Then you will have the wire that is on the Deans antenna. So totally there is going to be 8 to 12 inches of wire.

The instructions on the deans antenna say to cut the wire to between 4 and 10 inches.
