Yea, they are good performing packs. Do you know the IR of your's? Mine are at 3 or 4 for each cell which I think seems a little high? Also they get "warm" when I am only discharging 180 or so amps (in burst) but they are rated to 325 continuous and 450 burst, so it seems kinda odd they are getting warm at around half there rating.

Other then those 2 concerns of mine, they really perform great and pack a nice punch.

I will check the ir tomorrow, i picked up for tonight when i broke the throttle extension trying to change gov gain on the ice100 ,
edit i was curious so
total was 17m ohm total 2^2^3^4^3^3

i did notice just a mild hover the pack temp went up a lil i dont remember the zippy doing that .then again its 70++ here

Ok that's about where mine are. After that flight I posted the video of yesterday, my pack was had an internal temp of around 85 degrees according to my charger, it was about 45 degrees outside and really windy.. (had to hold on to it to keep my hands warm lol)... seems really warm to me and I really wasn't pushing them to hard. I would like to see stats on a TP 65C pack.

My XPS cells are all 2, 3, or 4s... that's REALLY low guys. Turnigy packs are like 70 I've heard.

You sure?? My friends Nano Techs (for a 500) were like 8 or so I think after 30 cycles, which yea that's alot, but I've also heard regular turnigys getting like 0's and 1's.

I will test my NRG pack (for a 450, I use it for my plank) and see what that is.

Gens Ace have been recorded to be 1-2 mOHM after about 30 flights. Maybe one of you guys can do a comparison with the Gens Ace 30C 5300 mAh LiPo, which is smaller and lighter than the XPS. Also, remember that a 25C Gens Ace is equivalent to a 45C Thunder Power, so their 30C, might be like the 65C XPS. Anyone gonna try them?

If I kill a pack those are the next ones I'll try.

If you kill a pack, make sure it's a taco:peace or are those kind of hard to do the Outrage?

Yeah you can't.. they just push in.. mounted in the frame :( I will NEVER get on team taco

I thought they were hard to do because of the battery bay, but I am hearing of people doing them.

Sly you need to build a super cheap $9 HK 450 clone kit heli with the cheapest pack you can find and slam it into the ground, just to get into team taco ;)

$10 HK kit, $4.99 RX, $2.77 servos, $10 Xheli motor, $15 ESC, $10 Lipo, $9.99 gyro and you may want to buy a second $10 kit in case you don't crash the 1st one hard enough.

I would actually probably do that, except I honestly would not feel safe spooling that thing up near me.

True that. Just don't do it to one of you XPS packs!

I have six XPS 6S packs and each one is in the 2-4 range. I also have six 3S XPS packs and each one of those is in the 5-10 range. However, with my 3S packs, the IR readings seem to be getting better as time goes on. A couple of them started out at 10 and now they are at 5 after 8 cycles. My 6S packs have been consistent and have about the same IR readings after 15 cycles.

For comparison, I have four Turnigy packs that Pete sold to me that are in the 4-7 range. (One of them has a bad cell that has an IR of 14 so I don't count that one) Pete - how many cycles would you say you had on those packs before you sold them to me?

JK. in the 70 cycle range. That's amazing how low their IR is!

Hey I forgot to ask you .. do you notice a difference flying your 550s between the Turnigy's and XPS packs?

Honestly, I can't tell a difference on the 550 between the two. The governor seems to hold fairly well with both. However, on my B400 I notice a HUGE difference between the XPS packs and Zippys. WAY more punch with the XPS packs on my B400! I'm sure if I flew harder with more full collective punch outs I'd start to see a difference on the 550.

Interesting. Those Turnigy packs are really good. But I bet we see more cycles with our XPS packs though.. and I am sure enjoying my charge rates.

Today I charged my first two packs at 30A (3C for each pack) and they were done in 16 minutes... that equates to 8 mins per pack. Unreal.

BTW - I think it does make a difference when you test IR. I've noticed that I get zeros or 1 right after a charge but if I let it sit for a bit or test at storage level then the readings are a bit higher. Is there a general rule that you should follow when testing for IR? Test at storage level? Full charge?

Are you doing a balance charge when you did the 3c charging? I always balance charge mine when I do it above 1C. Mine are done in about 20-22minutes charging at 3C.

BTW, when I am at home I usually do 2C or 1C charging.

Also, I know that if you let it set at full charge the IR will go up, not sure about when you should test them. I usually do it right after a flight before I charge them up again.

I always balance charge 100% of the time. But I probably don't pull out as much on the packs.. they typically end up at 40% left after a 6 minute flight. (Measured with a fuel meter type cell meter). I probably could go another minute?

do you measure the IR of your Packs when there fully charged for a true reading? my nano 6s have 11 IR on its first ever charge from a storage state ..but it goes down as i charged it up. to 9 or so

that measurment i gave was at storage charge but that was the first charge /use of this pack i am babying the **ll out of it as im still not making disposable income yet im scraping and just wanted 1-2 really nice packs to last a bit.

Another thing to note about the XPS.. Mine came at good storage charge, on the first charge 1 battery worked perfect, the other had a cell that stayed at 3.8 while the others were at 4.2... I was going to say it was a bad cell and battery but I put it on the balance charge and it took an entire day (seriously, atleast 8 hours) but it balanced and it's working perfect now.. So it goes without saying for all packs, but make sure it charges all cells right before use.
