The CG for the radio is pretty much centered at the the switch. This works perfectly.

I saw your post, went into the shed to look for a few parts and came up with this, perfect CG:

EDIT: Continue with the discussion of the DX strap holder mod in this thread please: http://www.helifreak.com/viewtopic.php?t=36352
(I have altered the bolt again; foto's in new thread)

Barnowl: Did the lipo change the balance of the Tx?

The McNair pack that came with the DX7 weighs 195g and the TrueRC lipo is 140g. The tx was a bit bottomheavy with the old pack. Above picture is with the new pack, it hangs on the strap, so you can judge the CG for yourself......

I have an Ice charger and the JR plug set for it, so i can plug my dx7 into it and charge and cycle so forth. Question is what settings do i use, i have it on Nl-MH/8cell/1500mah, what should the charge rate be ( for quick and normal), and the same for discharge. Is it worth cycling the battery, that why i bought the adaptor?

How about a ION 2000 mah. 3s2p that fits right in with no plug mods needed. Runs the tranmitter for over 16 hours, not flights, before charging. Perfect fit as well. $50 shipped
