Hey Freaks
We now have this forum so I can post a few Reviews on RC products. Let me tell you a little about myself and my background for doing this.
I started in the RC Hobby in 1988, I was mainly flying planks and having a lot of fun with it. I was stationed in Germany with the US Army at the time and this was a pretty cool hobby. I especially enjoyed being in a German club but had a hard time getting use to them selling beer and wine on the flight line :lol: really made for some interesting flights from some of the members, I always waited till I was done flying to join in.
When I returned to the states in 1990 I bought a used Heli, it was a GMP Competitor and I never even progressed into the hover phase before I sold it. My RC hobby got put on the back burner while I started roadracing motorcycles. At the same time I also started writing product reviews for the motorcycle industry. I was published in the Motorcycle Consumer News and also had a monthly column in the National Privateer magazine.
A couple of years ago I started racing dirt karts and have become a staff writer for the World Karting association magazine.
A couple of months ago I sold my last Racebike and decided to give RC Heli's another shot. This time I have progressed rather quickly, I am very proficient with hovering and forward flight. I am able to do 9 out of 10 auto's successfully and can do some ugly loops and rolls. Next I will try some flips :mrgreen:
I offered to do some product reviews and Will graciously setup a review forum for me.
You can take these reviews for what they're worth, they are kind of like opinions and you know the old saying about opinions so I wont go there!
Enjoy and feel free to send me some PM's with ideas and suggestions for reviews. Please include contact info for the product as well. You can also count on my writing being truthful, I wont sugar coat a review, so if a product isnt up to par it wont get a good review ! But I always give the manufacturer a chance to make it right or I will get a second opinion on the product before posting a less than great review.
