anyone have this happen to you, the plastic ball links splitting when twisting them onto the link rods for the first time ?

... yes, i had some splitting balllinks too - but i guess that was my fault... one or two turns to much while screwing them on the winding... another time, connecting rod did not fit exactly (to thick...) ...

out of one replacement parts bag of ball links i had 4 out of 10 split on me, this can,t be good, i've never had dif brands split like this before.

I didn't have any, the only time I've seen that Is when their put on too far. How far in did u go?

i havnt had any of mine split at all. i would assume ur reaming the links too much and or threading em in too far. just my guess...

they split at about 4 or 5 turn from start (just started with just 4 or 5 turns) maybe just a bad bag.....
