Page 92 of the DX7 manual clearly states that Pmixes may be switched on/off by:

ON Mixing always on (no switch)
F-NR Flight mode Normal
F-S12 Stunt modes 1 and 2
F-S2 Stunt mode 2
Hold Throttle hold toward self
Gear Gear channel toward self

However, my DX7 will only let me select between the flight mode options (and ON). I can not get mixing to be switched on/off by Throttle hold or the gear switch.

Am I doing something wrong, or is everyone else's DX7 the same way?

I must say that while I like this radio - there are some very frustrating aspects to the firmware in heli mode. Such as:

1. I can't control Elevator and Aileron D/R with a single switch (I know you can link this to flight mode)
2. I can't use the rocker switches for proportional control of a channel like AUX2 (but you can in airplane mode)
3. Can't turn mixes on/off with any switch - such as Elevator D/R.

Frustrating thing is all of these could easily be corrected with new firmware -though I don't see where Specktrum has made a provision for field firmware upgrades.

From what I can tell, each Prog.Mix has only 4 states for the switches.

Prog.Mix1 has:
ON Mixing always on (no switch)
F-NR Flight mode Normal
F-S12 Stunt modes 1 and 2
F-S2 Stunt mode 2

P.MIX2 has:
ON Mixing always on (no switch)
Hold Throttle hold toward self
F-S12 Stunt modes 1 and 2
Gear Gear channel toward self

Prog.Mix3 is the same as Prog.Mix1

So if you want to use Hold or Gear, you need to use Prog.Mix2
