Guys fun flies are for everyone, most of all for the newbies. No one starts flying 3D, everyone starts out the same. I attended my first fun fly Oct 2 & 3 in Va Beach. I have only been flying for about 4 months and still had my training gear on. I was not ashamed one bit mainly because of the encouragement I received from all that attended. Clint Stone, Willie, the rest of the HeliFreak guys and all of the other folks that were there cheered me on each time I flew. To top it all off with all of the encouragement on how well I was flying. I was told to take off the training gear, I did and it was awesome. It was so much easier to fly without the gear. I still have a long way to go but I am having fun and that is what counts. Also special thanks to Clint Stone for the hour and half he spent just talking about orientation. And to realflight (Robert Jones and Zak) for the setup. These are the guys you run into at fun flies. Thanks again everyone.

Thanks for the Kind Words. All you newbies don't be shy, we now have a very large Invasion Force full of compitant (sp) Freaks who eager to help others , I remeber when some of these guys were really getting started and now look at them GO. I just have to step back sometimes and look @ how much things have changed in the last 2 years, both with products and with the attitudes of the pilots out there. I see more famillies involved with our Hobby and I see more wives involved in some shape or form. Guys our Hobby is growing.........
It is great to see the guys I helped along the way now helping others as they were helped. Very cool!!!!!!! I see strong bonds of fellowship growing everyday in our HELI-Community and I am proud to be part of it all. I just wanted to tell everyone thanks because without you guys the Hobby just would not be the same.

Newbies, there are no stupid questions and we were all in your shoes @ one time or another. From flying to mechanicing to doing some awesome 3D or just working on orientation............. it is all part of the Bigger picture of OUR HOBBY.

My Advice to a NEWBIE, " Keep it simple and fun and don't sink so much into it to where it is not fun". Get with a group and take advantage of the Fellowship.
