 just herd from my lhs's heli guy that it took 8 degrees of pitch, and 3/4 throttle to get the heli max mx400 off the ground to hover. not sure witch motor was in it, but this guy is also there electronics wizard, so i'd assume he tried motors he had in hand also, but not sure.

anyone else have the same problem? i was also told that the blades are hollow, and twist real bad. the grips are too wide to use t rex blades unless shimmed.

my lhs says stay as far away from them as possible. that's why tower is selling them for $89 with added rebates.

how are there mx450's, or should i just get a t rex, and be done with it?

I have 2 mx400s and they are more fun than the trexs i have owned. easy to set up, good frame every thing runs sooo smooth and the old blades had slots in them not hollow. to run a set of trex blades you have to mod the mounting portion with the plastic pieces for mx blades. After the mod trex blades will work only with ccpm frame as the stock frames servo config can not handle the weight of the blades.
