ok seeing as no one knows the ansure to that question how bout this one. all i ever read is don't get that heli get a t rex. what makes the t rex that much better than the mx 450, or the HDX 450. i understand that parts are avalible at most shops that sell helis, but is it realy that much better than the mx450, or hdx450?
does it fly better, preform better, is maintenance easer, or is it just that the rex came out first, and is the base for the mx450, and hdx450? if everyone is saying get the t rex just because it came out first should i sell my chrysler, and buy a ford because fords came out first?
is all the hype over a t rex realy because it's better, or because it's the base of other helis?

All I know is, I have a Trex and it flies like a dream. It flies just like my simulator, I might as well be in front of a computer when I'm at the flying field. I would say it's the best out there for its size, but that's only because I cant imagine something flying any better....I cant speak from personal experience since this has been my only heli. Just my 2 cents

There's not a huge difference in the helis. They are both good birds and I've seen both perform some wild stuff. Mostly preference or parts availability is what dictates customer choices. If all anybody flew in your area was an MX450, that's probably what you'd end up with right? Beyond that, It could be that Align has a better reputation overall (it's tough to beat the prices for spares as well!!)
I doubt you'll be disappointed either way!

i totally agree. i'm at a road block now. funds dried up to finish it off, but my shuttle just needs to get setup, and put in the air. then ground. fix then back in the air. it will be my first single rotor heli, so i'm sure gravity will play a roll in the learning curve.

Fight the curve, get a SIM!!! I'm sure I'dve quit long ago had it not been for them! If you get a chance, try out the hover trainer on the G3.5. It had my dad hovering inside of an hour and he'd never touched a TX in his life!

You can turn down the graffix to get it to operate more easily. I had a similar problem with my 'puter when I first got it. That hover trainer really helps a lot! So borrow someone else's computer if you have to. You don't have to spend all day on it. Maybe an hour or two.

i like fms so far. real flight just plainly won't start for some reason. i need to reformat my hdd then it will work just fine again.
