dx7 and 401 gyro

o.k i did the chicken dance almost :shock: , anyway on spool up it went into a spin and i just caught it in time. So reversed rudder channel and then tried again and needed to reverse the gyro direction also ?? wtf ?

has this happened to anyone else ?

also i am unable to turn off the avcs and go into normal mode to adjust the limit of travel for rudder without setting the gain to zero in the gyro sense menu on tx ????

any thoughts???

If you are using the gyro menu just change the 0: setting to any number below 50 to put the gyro into normal mode. Note: You set travel limits on the Gyro. After you set travel limits/set mechanical zero..etc, just put the 0: setting back to where you had it (a good starting number is a setting of 72 (32 gain divided by 1.44 = 22, 22+50 and 50-22, 0:72 for HH, 1:28 for normal, suggest all flight modes be set to 0: to stay in HH mode).

problem found , the tail drive gear is spinning on the shaft :( , so was losing drive to tail rotor, dammit
