How do you set up a variable pitch? Center stick 0, and how much pitch for positive and negative? How do you measure the pitch? Im using a Eclips 7 HiTec TX. Do I use Heli mode? :dontknow

My guess would be to use heli mode.

Yep I would use heli mode and as much pitch as the motor can pull w/o burning up. As for negative I'm sure you wouldn't need much.

your suppose to use another servo and flip the switch to go other way, but I guess setting up like a heli would also work

Sorry I know this is a late reply.

But yes, you do you heli mode, this way you can set pitch and throttle curves. The extra servo controls the pitch. Find out what the maximum pitch you can run by measuring the amps at different pitch angle and making sure your moto, esc, and batteries can handle the load.

the way i've always seen people set it up is..

put the vari pitch prop on a 2 position switch. forward position = positive pitch, aft position = negative pitch. then you just use the throttle to vari the "thrust"
