Ok I took off the blades. There is 1 screw on each side holding in the blade grip. I can loosen one side but not the other because both screws unloosed in the same direction. What can I do to unloosen the other side?

Also once Off do I have to force the blade grip off? Pry it off? After only being able to take out one sides screw the blade grip doesn't come off. does it need to be pried off a Bearing?

Thanks

Thanks I noticed the same thing yesterday. I will figure it out today I hope. FYI, I think you might find that the swash plate will come apart in flight. Not sure what the fix is. Maybe a little lock tight. Are you from Middletown Va?

Once one bolt is removed, the blade grip, with bearings, will slide off the end of the feathering shaft (assuming that crash damage has not bent the shaft to the point where this is too difficult).

Remove on blade grip bolt, then pull both blade grips apart. The feathering shaft should slide out from the main rotor hub/yoke. Once out, if you are going to re-use the feathering shaft, hold the one end with the chuck on a drill motor, use the allen wrench to remove the bolt from the other end. The drill chuck should not damage the shaft as holding it with pliers would.

Roll the feathering shaft on a flat table to make sure it did not get bent (it does not take much to bend one).

Make sure that you use locktite to reassemble. Make sure that the threads are clean.

Ack! Don't try to use an allen wrench on that! hehe

Since Helimax decided to use Phillips Screws in the feathering shaft.. Yank one screw, disconnect the flybar linkage if you need the other side off.. Pull broken grip and feathering shaft out of the head..

You can PUSH the feathering shaft into the blade grip so that it slides out, screw in-tact. Make sure you pull the bearings out of the blade grip too.
